NMR Laboratory

Our lab is very well equipped with:

400 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometer
500 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometer
The 500 MHz machine will soon be equipped with a high pressure accessory, which will provide a unique facility within New Zealand.
700 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometer
The capability of the 700 MHz machine is boosted by an H/C/N cryoprobe giving enhanced sensitivity for both ¹H and ¹³C detection. The instrument is also equipped with a 60 position sample changer and autotune and match module making it ideal for high throughput NMR such as metabolic screening.
200 MHz horizontal bore MRI / solid state NMR system run by Jason Hindmarsh, with high resolution imaging capabilities.

The NMR laboratory is used for two main purposes - for chemists and for structural biologists.
